Shirodhara
A continuous rhythmic pouring of warm herbal oil over the forehead to pacify the central nervous system and relieve anxiety, insomnia, and deep mental stress.
Shirodhara is a classical Ayurvedic therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead. The name comes from the Sanskrit words shiras (head) and dhara (flow). The liquids used can include oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water, or even plain water. It is highly effective in relieving mental stress, anxiety, tension headaches, insomnia, and various neurological disorders by stimulating the vital marma points on the head.
